INSTRUCTION

30/3/2018 ( week 1 )

Week 1 was officially the introduction to the module itself. Ourself lecturers, Mr Hafiz and Mr Jeffrey both gave very brief information about what the module was about and what we were about to commit to. The first exercise involved photoshop masking which was new to me.

The image above were given to us in google classroom for this exercise and we have to take a picture of ourself before hand to be able to edit ourself in to the original image.

The second week consisted of using photoshop again but this time, we learnt about photo filters and adjustments along with dodge and burn techniques as well as using brushes. Not only did we work on photoshop but we also had a photography workshop with mr Vinod where he taught us about the basics of the camera.

For the photography workshop, we were basically taught about the basic of photography which includes:

ISO : The number Indic sting a digital camera sensor

Shutter Speed : Duration of time the shutter remains open to allow light to reach a digital camera sensor

Aperture : Contrast the amount of light entering the lens

Mr Vinod told us to capture three different photographs for our homework using the zonal system. one light, one dark, one grey coloured object.

13/04/18 ( week 3 )

In week 3 we have to experience the new technique called blending modes. First of all , we were taught how to create a colour scale in greyscale where we needed to start off with the film and video canvas in order to make the scale.

after making the greyscale template in photoshop, we move on to saving our favourite photograph online according to Mr Jeffrey's instructions.

Moving onto the next exercise,we went back to masking techniques. this time, we photoshopped a kampung house onto another image which is a photograph of a night scene. We also added a bride ghost to make the image look more interesting. This was a class where we also got to reminisces with the colour matching which made the out come look better.

The final exercise was where we experimented with basic photo colouring with use of photoshop once again. we used the lasso tool as well as the paint bucket for easier application. we were also told that using the paintbrush would work just as well too but I mostly used the paint bucket. We firstly need to select a vintage photo from the internet and used it and the image must be black and white so that we can repaint the image.

This week Mr Jeffry demonstrated a photoshop technique which is the photoshop displacement technique where we took a specific king of fabric along with a flag and displace them together. The process got sightly confusing because we need to remember a few thing at once but we ended up getting it right.

This week is a continuation of last week's exercise where we experimented more with displacement maps. We were given a vintage photo as well as a snake skin texture on classroom to use whilst we listened to Mr Hafiz's instructions.

This week with Mr Hafiz and Mr Jeff consisted of more map displacement exercise. This time, we placed textures on stones and animals.

This week, we have to use perspective warp for the very first time. it was interesting because it meant that we could transform anything into a different perspective. We were given a image on google classroom. First we were to transform the perspective of the building.

We was assign to take pictures of a few person jumping from the right side and taking a picture of the being throw in from the left side, for us to get a perfect image so we took a longer time and we took a lot of shots for just this two things, after its done we try throwing in chair and finally by pouring in buckets of water and it was also hard to get a perfect shot of the water because we cant control the waters direction, whereas the bear pillow and the people jumping in is much more easier.

For todays class we was supposed to use the pictures that we took at week 11 to animate it in "AFTER EFFECTS". This application was new to me, so mr jeffery had a lecture for us on how to use the tools in the application. Before animating the pictures we took , Mr jeffry gave us a introduction on how to move animate simple shapes.
