Week 2
For this week we had a class exercise regarding how well we know about Malaysia/ local brands
Week 3 - Project 1A
For this week we was asked to choose a event for our case study, which we are needed to do a study on the event, what are their marketing strategies, selling point, the statistics on the amount of people join the event, merchandise of the event, price list of the entry of the event, etc.
The event of my choice is "PJ Half Marathon".

INSTRUCTIONS
Week 2
For this week we had a class exercise regarding how well we know about Malaysia/ local brands
Week 3 - Project 1A
For this week we was asked to choose a event for our case study, which we are needed to do a study on the event, what are their marketing strategies, selling point, the statistics on the amount of people join the event, merchandise of the event, price list of the entry of the event, etc.
The event of my choice is "PJ Half Marathon".
Week 4
For this week, we have to present on what we have done for our case study (chosen event).
Due to the limitations of information, as its funny that the organisation will delete some of the information of the pass years, and the only platform for me to get the most information is their Facebook page.
Week 4 - Project 1B
From there we continued on redesign a logo, some collateral, SWOT analysis and etc for the event we have chosen to present on the previous presentation slides.
This week we got a lecture on situation analysis, which is a market analysis made up of a range of factors relevant to the particular situation. It looks into the internal and external factors that affects the brand.

As an example, we got to look into the situation analysis for the brand Starbucks, which helped us develop a better understanding of how SWOT works.
After the lecture, we were brief on second task, in which we are to propose an event of our choice. We are required to conduct a SWOT analysis, design a logo along with other brand identity aspects, as well as the decide on the positioning and ideal brand images for the proposed event.

Week 3
Specific Feedback - For this event that I have chosen, it may be a little hard for me to find information as the event must be big and established enough to get the information. But pj half marathon is okay its well established and it has been in the market for over 30 years and the number of the participants are growing. This chosen event is ok. But I want to see at least a 5 years of history on the merchandise.
Week 4
Specific Feedback - your presentation is good, although the event is well established but due to the limitation of information its enough for us to understand the event. but it will be good if I have the statistics of the participants who joined the event for the past and current years.
Week 5
Specific Feedback - your chosen event is good and all the information is very clear and straightforward, by looking at the event I can roughly visualise the while event. the logo combination of colours and style is very applicable to the event and the colour used is good as represented the Selangor colour.
EXPERIENCE
1A - I had to find a event that is big scale enough so I had enough of information that I can find and do research on, because we have to find all the information for example vision, mission, collateral of the event and etc. so as a suggestion from sir, he say we better find a bigger scale event that we have more info and info that is accurate. 1B - I had a experience to create a event and come out with all the necessary info vision, mission, event venue, rules and regulations and etc. it was not a easy process because, we have to come out with so many info and also a logo design for our event, it was really a not easy process.
OBSERVATION
1A - I observed that a well established brand event is a good branding and consistent brand identity. I also observe that brand experience is also really important so that we can create a good brand loyalty to the public. 1B - I notice that the SWOT analysis is really beneficial to a brand, as it will identify all the different aspect about the brand but not just looking at the good side it also can let us know about the bedside of our brand. knowing what kind of event u are working on is also important because if that idea is not clear, u will tent to fill in the wrong info that we need to know.
FINDINGS
1A - I found out that we have to be very clear on the events vision and mission and also the targeted audience, because we want to reach out to them effectively. 1B - I found out tat we have to a lot of study and reading on the event that we are going to propose, because with the knowledge we can only solve problem that we face in this project.
