This week, we got a lecture on cinematography. Mr Martin briefed us throughout the different types of shots used while filming

14/09/2018 ( Week 3 )
For this week, we got a lecture on storytelling in film. from this lecture we got to learn and understand about 3 act structure, which consists of beginning, middle and end with two plot point in between. 

 3 Act Structure 

 Act 1: Beginning - Introduction of a story, setup 
- Plot point 1 
Act 2: Middle - Confrontation, rising action, complications   
- Plot point 2
Act 3: End - Resolution of problem, answer to obstacles

After explaining the 3 act Mr Martin showed us a few videos and while watching them we got to identify and categories the scenes using the 3 act structure.

 07/09/2018 ( Week 2 )
Mr Martin start the class with going through the MIB and what we have to commit for this subject in this semester. After briefing we watched a few short film as an examples of what out final project was going to be like and we also watched a few video made by section year student. 
Throughout this semester, the main application we will us his Adobe Promiere Pro which we attempted for the first time. After Mr Martin brief us on what are we supposed to do, we was assign to rearrange a bunch of footages made by students following a scene in a TV show.

After everything is explained Mr Martin assign us with our project 1 which is to start doing research and think of ideas on any issue concerned. 

 I have a few topic that I am interested 1st is to talk about "Recycling starts from home" 2nd is "Save lives stop red light running" and the last one is about "Stop the v violence dont drink and drive".

 21/09/2018 ( Week 4 )

 This week, we got to do two exercises. the 1st was that we had two watch short film and identifying the 3 act structures.

 Film 1 is " Fall in love "

for the second exercise, we were given 8 different types of angles that we need to shoot and we are also paired up with one of our friend to do this exercise.

05/10/2018 ( Week 6 )

For this week, we have to learn something new where we have to use Adobe Audition for this exercise and we have to learn to create changes to sounds, to fit in the scenario that we are given.

After that session, mr Martin took over the class and showed us two short films which we have to figure out the three act structure of it.

Act 1 : 
He performed in a competition and he failed n lost in the competition, and he felt that everything is falling apart and he felt that he is a failure.

Plot point 1 : 
He decided to be a blind piano tuner to earn some money, he had a talk to a boss at the restaurant.

Act 2 : 
Working as a blind piano tuner by going to clients house

Plot point 2 :
He entered a house to tune the piano, where he went in the house and he saw a dead man inside and he felt down.

Act 3 :
End up he got killed by the woman with a weapon.

Chong Siong Loong Ron ( 0334452 ) Digital Imaging and Photography  Final project - Cinemagraph -  Surrealistic Parallax INSTRUCTION abc 29/06/18 (week 14) Our final project is basically consisted of making a cinemagraph - surrealistic gif which could be loosely based on using stock images and images on free images websites or any images of our own. 1st thing that came to my mine was to do a tea pot pouring out blue tea to the cup endlessly like those gif we usefully see online.
