INSTRUCTIONS
Week 1
We was introduced to our project 1, as it was to publish a book of our own. We had to prepare our content, with not less than 3000 words but we can choose any story online or we have the freedom to write it on our self and is on any type of topic too.
Week 2
For this week we have to show our 3000 words and it has to be prepared and follow the structure that Mr Vinod that showed us as an example.
Example given by Mr Vinod

With this example we have to prepare ours to show it to mr vinod.
Structure of my own story
"Layout" by Gavin Ambrose and Paul Harris
- Layout is the arrangement of the elements of a design in relation to the space that they. occupy and in accordance with an overall aesthetic scheme
- Management of form and space
- Visual and textual elements that are to be communicated in a manner that enables the reader to receive them with the minimum effort
- good layout a reader can be navigated through quite complex information from print and screen
- There are no golden rules to creating layouts, with the single exception that the content must come first
- as a guide book communicates its content in a very different manner to that of a thesaurus layouts are no transferable
- it is important for us as designers to know how to approach and handle different types of information in different formats.
Week 3
For this week we have to show on what approach style of our story book, and some of illustration if possible. As I only prepared a slide on what is my approach on the story book.
Mr Vinod said that it was a good idea as there is room to be fill up with information or thinking for this project, as he advice me to have one big silhouette picture as the front cover of the book when u pull out the pictures will be separated into its own page. more information or illustration to show for next class.
Week 4
For this week I have to print out a mockup for mr Vinod to see as to see whether the book works.
After the feedback that I got from Mr Vinod I have change make the flow of the illustration a little different and enlarge some of the illustration. For this few we have to do a spread of our whole set of illustration.

FEEDBACK
Week 2
General Feedback: Is important for us to do a lot of research before we do or decide on our illustration for the project.
Specific Feedback: For the project 1, the 3000 words is ok the only things that I have to add in is the subtext for my introduction and pull quotes for every chapter, ( pull quotes - are basically a important sentence of the paragraph ).

Week 3
General feedback: We have to continue to work on our visual for project 1, where the illustration will look better at the end compared to the 1st few page. While we are taking pictures of our work, we have to zoom in to avoid the work looking distorted
Specific feedback: The used of silhouette for my book is a good idea where it must have a certain degree of details, that’s where it will give the impact of using silhouette. It cannot be too simple otherwise it will look boring.
Week 4
Specific feedback: I have constructed a structure, gird system which is a little boring and predictable for my story book, Mr Vinods advice is to make it not too symmetrical it will not constantly give the reader a surprise as they flips the story book.
Week 5
Specific feedback: Identify a better colour scheme, I can think of putting in colour on each page, compared to just the paper colour.

Week 3
for this week I felt when after I printed out my illustration just for a mock up, which I agree on what mr Vinod say, it does look a little boring and there is not surprise for the reader.
Week 4
after I have got the feedback of from mr vinod I notice there is some changes of mt book where it does look more exciting when they layout are in a different manner

Observations
Week 1
I realised that it was a good reflection how is life in the pass, what to learnt and remember from the pass. I felt that it was kinda good for me to write it out and keep it as a reminder for me and may be in the future I can read out my story to my kids too on how great was their great grandfather is
Week 2
We had to come out with a style for our book which I have observed that most of the books are boring in its style of conveying the content to the reader, so I decided to do something different.
Week 3
I observed something where if we keep on working on the screen, it will look ok but after printing out on paper, things may not look the same as on screen it will appear on the paper
Week 4
the observation for this week is, that after getting back feedback by mr vinod, I have change the layout of my story book, which makes my story book more interesting and with some bigger illustration the book looks better, not so boring with the same style of placing the illustration.

Findings
Week 1
I find that it was much more easier for us to write the 3000 words put compared to finding one story online that suits us and 3000 words was not that hard to achieved.
Week 2
I found out that there is a few things that I have to observe before I do the Folding method story book, which have also a lot of things to prepare before hand.
Week 3
After I printed out my book as a mock up of my story book, I found out that my story book looks boring, as said so by mr vinod too as the feedback I got from I have to improve on my story book.
Week 4
with the feedback that I had from last week, I notice my book some how looks more interesting as compared to the 1st attempt.
