Project 1: Paper Bag, Book Sleeve Design

INSTRUCTIONS
Week 3 

 For this week, Mr Shamsul beefed us on the first project, for this project we have to design a paper, a book sleeve and also one the merchandise of our own choice based on the book design that we have designed. we need to show some sketches by next week. 

 Week 4 
for this week I came out with a few sketch of the 3 item that we was asked to work on

For this week I need to show the mock up

Week 6 

After getting feedback For the paper bag and book sleeve is ok can proceed, but the only thing I have to change is the post card holder as it should work better with box.

FEEDBACK

Week 4
The paper bag and book sleeve is ready for mock up but the post card holder looks very flimsy it does not hold the post card nicely but no harm trying to product out and see the outcome of it.

Week 5
The choice of paper for the paper bag is good but the sleeve and post card holder should be the same material and finishing, to give it a consistent look overall. the post card holder does not work, I have to redesign another piece for the post cards.

Week 6
The post card box sketches looks fine and all the item may proceed for submission.

Week 7 
The choice of paper and finishing for individuals item looks great and feels great, and the post card box looks so much better as compared to the previous post card holder.



REFLECTION

Experience
It was a hard process for me to create the dieline as it was my 1st time doing an actual packaging, there is some small problems I faced because I was not sure if the components that I put together in the paper bag is big enough of too small as it was my 1st time doing this. it was a project for me that I did learn a lot from by sketches to the end product.

Observation
I notice that this was a changeling project for me because it is a totally new thing for me, as I said before I did not have any experience on creating packaging. But the final outcome of my product was satisfying but I knew I could do better if I had the time.

Findings 
For this project I found out that consistency is important as a whole but, material is one of the main factor too, if we don't choose the right material it can destroy or change the look of your product. I found out that some of the material u choose when u fold it it will crack and it will make your product looks ugly, so choosing the right material is an important factor.

Chong Siong Loong Ron ( 0334452 ) Digital Imaging and Photography  Final project - Cinemagraph -  Surrealistic Parallax INSTRUCTION abc 29/06/18 (week 14) Our final project is basically consisted of making a cinemagraph - surrealistic gif which could be loosely based on using stock images and images on free images websites or any images of our own. 1st thing that came to my mine was to do a tea pot pouring out blue tea to the cup endlessly like those gif we usefully see online.
