Project 2 - Empathy Mapping and Persona     


INSTRUCTIONS





Week 5 

for this week we was briefed on the second project, as this project we have to build Personal profiles are a representation of a product’s users. They are used to keep the user front and center throughout the design, development and maintenance process. Before we start going in to the project we have an empathy mapping exercise as a process to develop their product’s personas. While at that, you will also be exposed on the approaches to creating personas. A set of personas profile (will be guided by an agency/industry collaborator). 

Week 6

For this week, we had a site visit to GrowthOps in Bangsar South. We had a session with the staff where they teach us the few main steps that we have to prepared before working on the persona that we have in mind and what kind of persona that we should look on rather than choosing those minorities.

Right after the session, our group locked down all the persona that we will work on " The Driven, The Social, The Sensibles, The Explorer " and we added in one more persona is " The Researcher"


After we lock down all the persona, we distributed the work as we have to find data for individual persona. As for me, I took the "The Social - Students , The Sensibles - Parents" to do and find data on. I did interviews and google forms to collect data to build the persona. 

Google Form 

For the google forms I had a response of 28 parents, we found out that price of the tuition fees is their priority, facilities is their second consent when they choose a institution before they enrol their kids come in, the 3rd point that most of the responses is the ranking of the institution.

Interviews 
For the interview I came out with a set of questions based on the empathy mapping that is given to us.

Than I went and interview 2 person which is want is a parent Mrs Celine Chu and Ms Shinli Teo. the below PDF is all the answer they gave me in the interview.

From the data that I had from google form and the interviews, I came out with an empathy mapping for individual personas.

After all the data collection, and interviews. we want to do a Designed Persona to show all the data in a way the is much more clear for the our lecturer to Evaluate our data.

Since this is a group work, we all have to work individually to get our own data for our user persona.

Week 6 
Specific Feedback:
We have to look on a majority for our user persona, is its a minority in the university we shouldn't not focus so much for building a user persona for it, we have to look user persona for example, rich students, parents and etc which is like majority that is in the university. 

Week 7 
Specific Feedback:
Well done in the presentation, as we are very clear on the individual components to build a user persona, and the fact is we have a full designed user person to make the complicated information clear and much more easier to understand. Is a good thing that we really understand the objective of the website where we have to also looked on the researcher part and create a user persona for that too.  overall our presentation is a complete set where we touch on every objective that is stated in the brief.
