LECTURE NOTES 

Lecture 1 
28/08/2018 ( Week 1 )

For the 1st class, Ms Jinchi start to brief us on the module outline, and ms jinchi also explain on what are we expected from this module and how should we start with the research. After all the explanations We was assign by Ms Jinchi that we have to come up with a presentation with our field of interest. We had to include our main research topic and problem both stating the issue that we plan to research.

For this week Ms jinchi started the class with explaining on the tasks that we are supposed to do for week 3 and due to public holiday for week 3, we have to send our work through email or times, after everything was assign We have to explain about our topic and problem to both of our lecturer, after the presentation we have to get all the feedbacks both of the lecturer and improved on our work

Topic and Research Problem  ( Draft 1 )

We was assign by Ms Jinchi that we have to come up with a presentation with our field of interest. We had to include our main research topic and problem both stating the issue that we plan to research. As for my choice of issue is what I have always wanted to get the answer which is " how design affects our lifestyle". So I started to do my research on this topic.


Feedback :

Dr. Hayati and Ms Jinchi both agreed that my topic was interesting but however, my topic is very huge where I have to narrow down and state down and explain what do I mean by how " IMPORTANT " is design in our everyday life, for example? graphic design ? interior design ? etc.  

Problem statement and Research problem ( Draft 1 ) 

04/09/2018 - 11/09/2018  ( Week 2 - week 3 )
We was assign to come out with our problem statement and research problem, this time its a little special due to the public holiday on week 3 ( Tuesday ) so we have to send in our work by email to ms jinchi. " Problem statement, Research Question, Objective ".



Feedback :

Ms Jinchi, told me that "how graphic design affects life" for my research topic is still very wide. so I was advice to narrow down on what kind of graphic design I want to talk about example: Packaging, Typography, branding, infographics or etc. so Ms jinchi gave me a few options to choose on or I can find a different topic for my research topic. I chose Information graphics for my research topic. From there I redo my topic, research problem, problem statement, research question and objective. everything must be done before the class end.

After getting the feedback and advice from Ms jinchi I changed my topic to be more specific which is "how information graphic affect our everyday life"

After editing and redoing all the slides, because ms jinchi advice me to change my topic because its much more clear " The efficiency of infographic compared to traditional methods in communicating  a message ".

Chong Siong Loong Ron ( 0334452 ) Digital Imaging and Photography  Final project - Cinemagraph -  Surrealistic Parallax INSTRUCTION abc 29/06/18 (week 14) Our final project is basically consisted of making a cinemagraph - surrealistic gif which could be loosely based on using stock images and images on free images websites or any images of our own. 1st thing that came to my mine was to do a tea pot pouring out blue tea to the cup endlessly like those gif we usefully see online.
